I highly recommend checking it out, because you can edit recipes and add notes but it also lets you input ingredients and then gives you a selection of recipes you can make with them (along with a crap ton of other preferences filters.) It's made by Samsung so if you have a Samsung/Android phone you can copy recipe urls to your clipboard and the app will input them, and then will recognize it and will translate all of it to your ingredient/shopping list.Organize your recipes. Turns out the Whisk app was exactly what I was looking for. I tried out Paprika, but from what I was looking for it seemed a little too "bare bones"(?) Idk how to phrase it, like it was very 'Open' like a virtual book you could put recipes into, which is great but not so much geared toward "Okay I have X, Y, and Z in my fridge, what can I make?" I think there was another item on the wishlist but I can't recall what it was.ĮDIT: just to note, while the iOS app is handy, I use the version on my Mac at least 90% of the time. I've sent all this and more to the developers but never heard back. Some recipes don't get imported properly so I have to edit the ingredients or instructions, but the page text is inaccessible-I can't even copy/paste the URL into another window because even that field isn't accessible. when using the browser plug-in to enter a recipe, I wish I could better view the original page.This is most important for sites behind a paywall, but also sites where I want to use the Find on page function, etc. the ability to open the URL in a recipe in Safari or whatever the default browser is rather than the built-in browser (AFAIK, to do so in Paprika you have to first edit the recipe, then go to the URL field and copy it).For example, I have reference PDFs for charts for internal doneness temps for baked goods, ingredient volume/weight equivalents, and other things that aren't in recipe form but are related to cooking. a way to save cooking notes, not just recipes.Make sure to include a link!
